Concord N.H.
Concord, N.H. is the the capital of the state of New Hampshire in the United States. It is also the county seat of Merrimack County. Concord includes the Village of Penacook.
The land was originally settled thousands of years ago by Abenaki Native Americans called the Penacook.
Concord lies fully within the Merrimack River watershed and is centered on the river, which runs from northwest to southeast through the city.
The city’s neighboring communities are Bow to the south, Pembroke to the southeast, Loudon to the northeast, Caterbury, Boscawen Webster to the north, and Hopkinton to the west.

Government:
Concord is governed via the mayor-council system. The city Council consists of fourteen members, ten of which are elected from single-member wards, while the other four are elected at large. The mayor is elected directly every two years.
Schools:
The city is the home to Franklin Pierce Law Center, New Hampshire’s only law school. St. Paul’s School which is a private co-ed preparatory school and the New Hampshire Technical Institute is a two year community college.
